Switchover

Customer Interaction Center (CIC) supports an automated switchover system. If an IC server ever fails, in less than 30 seconds the server can switch control to another mirror image IC server with minimal phone disruption. In addition, the switchover scheme enables administrators to manually switch the “active” IC server with no phone disruption.

If a switchover occurs, Interaction Client Web Edition users see a dialog box informing them a switchover and reconnect is in progress.

It takes from 90 to 150 seconds for Interaction Client to reconnect.

Note: Your current call may be disconnected during a switchover. However you do not need to log on again after a switchover is completed.
